Stripes are in this season, but streaks are out – exfoliate before you self tan this summer!
Avoid the mistakes these celebrities made with this quick guide:
First & most importantly exfoliate your body with a cloth or loofah to get all the dead skin off (the Shobha® Exfoliating Cloth is the perfect tool – it has the flexibility of a wash cloth, but the durability of a loofah, plus it’s machine washable!).
Prep your body for the self tanner by lightly moisturizing. Pay special attention to rough areas including knees & elbows (btw, make sure to remove deodorant…it will turn green!).
Be generous with the product: not using enough can stretch the tan, causing it to break & streak.
Start at the bottom: start with your feet & work your way upwards. Apply the self tanner in circular motions, massaging it well into your skin.
Hold off on showering or exercise for a couple hours to let the self tanner work its magic!
(if you have not followed these steps & ended up with streaks, lemon juice is the best remedy for getting rid of streaks!).
