Sometimes (rarely) there are people in this world that are hairy, who we still love despite this serious flaw. Like Top Chef master & judge, Hugh Acheson whose monobrow aka “hughnibrow” has successfully grown on us the past couple of months. However, rumor has it that Hugh might be plucking it off for charity (hey Hugh! Thread…don’t tweeze, please!).
Anyways, it seems we may have a new hairy friend that will be joining this very selective group of people. Who, you might ask? Why, the woolly mammoth of course! I remember reading about these big guys in history class & now, thanks to Japan & Russia, we can anticipate our friends arrival in the next 5 years. According to popsci.com, by “using intact bone marrow recovered from the thigh bone of a woolly mammoth found in the thawing permafrost of Siberia [huh?!], researchers think they will likely clone a living, breathing mammoth in just five years.”
Wow, so many questions arise in my head. Like where will this woolly mammoth hang out? What will he eat? Are they happy creatures or sad? How tall are they? I guess we will have to wait & see!
