Makeup Mondays: Enhancing Your Cleavage

Topics: Beauty, Posts, Tips & Tricks

Makeup can be transformative. Not just for stage & not just for the face. There are many ways to use makeup to hide flaws, or play up one’s favorite qualities on the body. Here are a few makeup artist tricks for making the most of your skin south of your chin.

Cleavage:

How to enhance cleavage is one of the most common questions I receive at photo shoots, at personal makeup training appointments, & from friends.

Here are the steps:

1. Wear a push-up bra. This will give the chest a little extra boost & definition.

2. Highlight the area between the breasts with a powder foundation approximately two shades lighter than your natural skin tone.  Using a small domed eyeshadow brush, apply the powder in a vertical line between your newly pushed-up cleavage.

3. Apply a light, mat bronzer that is approximately two shades darker than your natural skin tone. With an angle brush, define each breast with a soft sweeping curve of bronzer that both starts & ends beneath your clothing. The bronzer should create a shadow effect, defining the top & inner curves of the décolletage.

4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 until the desired amount of definition & blending is achieved.
