Beach Baby Fitness is a pre & post-natal fitness program that focuses on strengthening the core. Our classes are designed to keep you strong during pregnancy & rebuild your core post-partum.
Beach Baby Fitness classes are great for moms because they strengthen all the fine tuning postural muscles that aren’t targeted in general classes. Everyone is checked for diastas recti separation & classes are modified for post-partum injuries, pregnancy, & all fitness levels.
I was inspired to create Beach Baby Fitness after the birth of my first baby in 2008. I met many moms who wanted to get back into exercise & didn’t know how & there was no class that showed how to begin re-educating the abdominals. Many people had stopped exercising completely once they found out they were pregnant. Using my physical therapy background & experience with treating women for pregnancy related pain & post-partum injuries I developed a holistic strengthening program. Teaming up with yoga & pilates expert, rose rouse, we are dedicated to strengthening from the inside out & redefining fitness for women.
Beach Baby Fitness offers core conditioning classes & private sessions in lower Manhattan. Core conditioning is a balanced workout that focuses on pelvic floor, abdominal retraining, back strengthening, posture, stretching & upper/lower body toning. Yoga core conditioning focuses on recovery & strengthening of the core through a creative energizing flow with relaxing restorative poses at the end.
Classes are byobaby: mom can bring her baby/toddler to the class & get a great workout. A caregiver supervises the kids in a group within sight of mom so she can focus on exercise. Moms are always welcome without their little ones.
