Rejoice, Easter Bunny! The EU Bans Cosmetics Tested on Animals

Rejoice, Easter Bunny!  Earlier this month, the European Union implemented a complete ban on the import & sale of cosmetics tested on animals.  This move follows a ban on animal testing of finished products in 2004 & a ban on animal-tested ingredients in 2009.  Despite concerns that such legislation puts European cosmetic firms at a competitive disadvantage, the EU is moving forward with protecting our furry friends & is encouraging other countries to follow suit.  That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for bunny kind!
